We train our Haflingers to be able to handle any situation with the calmness and intelligence that has made the breed so popular.  All the horses are evaluated extensively with the owners to ensure our goals are the same as the owners, and the Haflinger has the ability to accomplish these goals.  Jacque trains the Haflingers under saddle in many disciplines and also to drive.  She has years of  experience with training Haflingers as well as Quarter Horses and Paints and carries a degree from The Ohio State University in Horse Production and Management in breeding and training.  She now solely trains and shows Haflingers all over the United States.  Jacque has been hired to ride some great Haflingers such as: A-Rock, Winterschon CCF, Marzog, Nordstern M&B, Saphir and Waldeck Wulf at shows, open barns, and the Equine Affaire held in Columbus, Ohio.  She also judged the 2004 American Haflinger Registry National Show in Western Pleasure, Contest, and Walk/Trot classes both equitation, pleasure and Versatility. 

At the 2006 National Haflinger Show, Jacque showed and trained the winning three year old stallion winner, the three year old gelding halter who also became the National Grand Champion Gelding, and the same horse won the title Champion Green Hunter Under Saddle!

In 2007 Woodward Performance Haflingers captured the Best OF Show Draft Title at the American Haflinger Registry Nationals along with Grand Champion Draft Stallion, Reserve Grand Champion Pleasure Gelding, Green Hunter Over Fences, along with the Division Title,  English Pleasure, and Mare Pleasure Driving Champion titles

Mike is the expert in the driving areas.  From cart up through the eight hitch, Mike is capable of it all.  He trains, shows and judges draft classes.  Pleasure driving is now taking off and we are accepting client horses for both draft and pleasure types of driving.

All the horses are taught ground manners and respect in and out of a round pen setting.  Each horse brought to us is unique in their own way, and we adjust our training techniques to conform with your Haflingers mind set and ability.  These training methods ensure everyone is happy and enjoys the training process in a safe, and pleasant environment. 

 Owners are invited and encouraged to watch the training sessions and to ask questions about their Haflinger.  If the owner lives out of state, a video can be supplied showing the Haflinger in training when requested.  At the end of the training, the owners are again invited and given lessons on what was taught, and what obstacles the Haflinger may face once they are taken home, and how to get over them.  Our phone number and e-mail are always available to check on your horse and ask any questions.
