Training: Chief is currently in training under
saddle and is on our 2008 show string. He attended his first
schooling fun day in July, and his first Haflinger show at the Western
Haflinger Show in Meadville, PA July 12-13, 2008, placing in all of his
walk/trot classes, and winning his 3 year old gelding halter class!
Chief is a super quiet three year old, very calm and mild mannered at
home. Works great in walk/trot, at this time he is lazy in his
canter. With his large size we are not pushing this guy to canter or
work on leads. It is more important to us at this time that he is
forward, round, and collected before we push him more to canter.
This guy has an amazing 'wow' trot, fabulous hock action, and an extension
seen very rarely in Haflingers. Rich red coloring, and super
sweet! Chief's next show will be at the 2008 American Haflinger Registry
Nationals. He is trail ridden, works well in a ring, or outside of
the ring, and has been driven on the road also! This horse has the
ability to do combined driving, Hunter Under Saddle, Eventing, or just be
a nice quiet trail horse. Don't miss out on this fabulous moving,

**Update
Aug 2, 2008** Chief attended the East Coast Haflinger Gathering July 2008
in Gettysburg, PA. We spent four days viewing the fabulous trails
and meeting other Haflinger people! Chief was fabulous over the
bridges, trails, by himself, and with other horses. He was ridden by
Jacque and Mike both!
Chief
has had hock, and knee x-rays taken July 2008 and has passed both sets, he
is ready to go!
