Mike, Jacque, and Johnathan (JD) Woodward have been active in almost every aspect of Haflingers.  Mike comes from a long family history of thirty years of breeding and raising Haflingers.  He served in the US Marine Corps for five years before coming back home to help the family with the horses.   His favorite part of the farm however is driving the draft hitch.  Eight is his favorite with six being a close second.  Jacque came into the Woodward family as a intern from a line of training Quarter Horses and Paints.  Finishing her equine degree from Ohio State University required a internship in which she finished up at the Woodward farm.  Falling in love with her first training Haflinger, the fabulous Gold rated stallion A Rock, Jacque stayed on with the farm and continued showing the riding horses and learning the driving aspects as well as the Haflinger bloodlines and new people.  Jacque graduated from Ohio State University in 2000 with a degree in Horse Production and Management.

Mike and Jacque were then married in the fall of 2001 and started working their own Haflingers across the road from Mike's family Haflinger farm  When driving down the road it is amazing to see the 50-60 Haflingers on both sides of the road!  Mike and Jacque have 80 acres in which the horses are allowed to graze and their hay is made and Mike's family has another 150 acres for their broodmare herd.  Jacque now only trains Haflingers for numerous disciplines, her favorites being all-around performance horses who can do everything! 

While active in the family Haflinger breeding program, we have now started our own breeding program with our select mares in which we are building our broodmare herd.  We believe our mares should be proven in the inspection arena, as well as the performance arena before and while they produce.  Currently we have five Silver rated mares (top 10% in the world) a few older mares along with the stallion A Rock, a gold rated (top 1% in the world) We offer full service breeding, AI and shipped cooled semen, as well as mare care, foaling services, weaning, and beginning training for the youngsters.  With the Woodward name having been involved for over 30 years in the Haflinger industry, you can be assured that we have some of the best conformation, bloodlines, temperament, and trainability anywhere in the United States or Canada.

We specialize in well started and finished show horses.   Any of our horses are at home in harness or under saddle, and have a top notch foundation started, with proper nutrition, handling, and training expected from a top notch facility.

We offer select training for you and your Haflinger as well as a heavy show schedule spanning seven states.

We welcomed our first child, Johnathan Dean Woodward in August of 2005 and already he is trying to take dad's job as the head driver!.
